Hayward Tyler appoint new Group Managing Director

In 2006 Southbank (UK) plc acquired Hayward Tyler Group Ltd, a leading manufacturer of pumps and motors for the power generation and oil and gas industries.  In its latest figures, Southbank reported revenues of £24.7million for Hayward Tyler with an order book of almost £50million – 80% of which is derived from export markets.

 

David has over 20 years experience in the power and electrical manufacturing industries and joins Southbank from Cressall Resistors Limited, a former Halma Group plc subsidiary, where he served as Managing Director since 2004.  There he successfully tripled the company’s revenues and managed the sale and subsequent merger of two UK based competitors.  Previously, David was Sales Director of MAN B&W Diesels Ltd and Operations Manager at Chloride Safety Systems having spent the early part of his career as an Operations Manager in GEC.

Rowan Expands Rig Construction Program: Orders Four Super 116E Jack-Ups from Keppel AmFELS

Rowan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:RDC) announced today that it has entered into contracts with Keppel AmFELS, Inc. for the construction of four Super 116E class jack-ups. The rigs will be built at AmFELS' Brownsville, Texas shipyard, with delivery scheduled at approximately four-month intervals beginning in the second quarter of 2010.
