The planned shutdown on Noreco's Siri field for maintainance for 6 days was executed according to plan. The field is back in production today. A six day shut down on the Siri, Nini and Cecilie fields in Denmark has been completed, and the fields are now in production according to plan. Full text

SCAN Geophysical ASA announced today that the company’s first newbuild M/V SCAN Empress was successfully launched today, 18 days ahead of plan. The vessel is now alongside the outfitting jetty where on-loading and erection of the seismic hangar will continue. Full text
Cameron has entered into an agreement to acquire KB Industries, an Odessa, Texas-based manufacturer of blowout preventers (BOPs) and BOP surface control systems, for approximately $85 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close during the second half of 2008, subject to regulatory approvals.

Endeavour International Corporation (Amex: END) (LSE: ENDV) today announced a discovery at the site of its Noatun C prospect located in PL107 in the Norwegian North Sea. The well encountered a gas condensate column in the targeted Middle to Lower Jurassic sandstone.
