Two metocean contracts off the coast of East Africa have been awarded to Fugro. The first contract involves a one-year current measurement project with moorings in up to 1,700m water-depth off the Tanzania coast for Ophir Energy. The second contract is a joint industry metocean study of the Tanzania and Mozambique coast. Full text

TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) announced today that it is acquiring a new Multi-Client 3D survey in the DeSoto Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico. Named "Hernando", the new survey covers a 300 OCS block (6,900 sq. km) area. Full text
A subsea equipment upgrade by VetcoGray is expected to increase production in the Lobito Tomboco oil field off the coast of Angola by 7,000-10,000 barrels per day.VetcoGray has signed a $27 million contract with Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. of Angola, a subsidiary of U.S. oil company Chevron, to retrofit the existing subsea trees in the field, which has been in production since June of 2006. Subsea 7 announced today that it has been awarded a 1 year IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance) services agreement by TAQA Bratani Limited (part of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, PJSCPSJA) for the provision of project management, engineering, dive support and remote intervention services to assist with TAQA's newly acquired Northern North Sea assets. Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract with Petrobras to supply the first set of subsea trees, including control systems and related equipment for the Tupi field development in the Brazilian pre-salt layer. The agreement is worth approximately EUR 45 million.
