TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) announced today that it has completed acquisition of two new multi-client programs in Somaliland. Offshore, TGS has acquired approximately 5,100 kilometers of 2D seismic, gravity, and magnetic data covering both shallow and deep water areas. Full text
Apache Corporation (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) announced today that the Julimar Southeast-1 discovery on Australia's Northwest Shelf logged 195 feet of net pay across five intervals of the Triassic Mungaroo Sandstone. It is believed that the ultimate size of this gas accumulation could be in the range of 2 to 4 trillion cubic feet. Full text
Lundin Petroleum AB said that it has started mobilisation and installation of the marine drilling complex that will drill the Morskaya-1 exploration well in the Lagansky block, situated in the northern Caspian Sea. Lundin Petroleum has currently a 70 percent net interest in the Lagansky block. Full text
Santos today announced the Final Investment Decision for the Reindeer Gas Project located offshore Western Australia. The Reindeer gas field was discovered in 1997 and is located in the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia within exploration permit WA-209-P. Front End Engineering and Design studies (FEED) for development of the Reindeer gas field were completed in Q4 2007. Full text

The exploration well Kodiak-1 is located in the block Mississippi Canyon 771, some 95 kilometers (60 miles) offshore Louisiana, at a water depth of 1,500 meters (5000’). The well was drilled to a total depth of approximately 9,500 meters (31,150’) and encountered over 150 meters (500’) of hydrocarbon-bearing formations in multiple sands. Full text
