In Australia, North West Shelf Angel is reported ahead of schedule and budget. Offshore hook up complete and final commissioning is in progress. Subsea project Pyrenees is also on schedule and budget. Floating Production Storage and Offtake (FPSO) conversion continues.
The same goes for Bass Strait Kipper, which is on time and schedule and budget. Fabrication of pipeline and umbilical tubes complete. Engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract executed. Full text

Galoc Production Company (GPC), the Operator of the Galoc Field offshore Palawan, Philippines, advises that, following disconnection of the FPSO from the Mooring and Riser System which was necessary due to typhoon Frank (FengShen)subsequent inspection of the subsea components by Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) has revealed damage to one of the upper riser sections. Leading engineering services company Neptune Marine Services Limited (ASX:NMS) has successfully completed two international projects utilising its NEPSYS® dry underwater welding technology. With a combined value of more than $2 million, the projects comprised a jacket leg strengthening project in the southern Gulf of Thailand and a critical weld repair on a drill rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Delmar Systems, Inc. successfully installed the first rig set of eight gravity-installed vertical load anchors (VLAs) in the Gulf of Mexico. the patented OMNI-Max anchors were installed at Eni's Green Canyon 385 (Pegasus) location in June 2008 in approximately 3600' water depth. Full text

Shell announced today first injection of water in the Ursa/Princess Waterflood project. The topsides injection system injects filtered and treated sea water via two separate flowlines to three subsea sites - one to an existing well site northwest of the Ursa Tension Leg Platform (TLP), one to an existing well site southeast of the Ursa TLP and one to a new well site northeast of the Ursa TLP. BHP Billiton said that first oil and natural gas production has commenced from the Neptune development in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The Neptune TLP was installed in 4,250 feet (1,300 meters) of water on Green Canyon Block 613. Field development includes six initial subsea wells tied back to the TLP. Full text

StatoilHydro today said that the development of the Oseberg area in the North Sea continues. Oseberg Delta and Theta Cook, which have now come on stream, add considerable production value. When well number two on Oseberg Delta comes on line in the autumn, another 7,000 barrels per day will be added. Full text
